If you want to enjoy riding your JETSURF board, it is essential to carefully inspect it before every start. Improper preparation or neglecting minor details can lead to breakdowns or accidents. Follow our step-by-step guide to ensure the safety and reliability of your equipment.
Check the Fuel Level
Before each ride, ensure that the fuel tank is full. This will prevent unexpected stops at the most inconvenient moments.
2. Battery Charge
The JETSURF board’s battery must be fully charged before riding. Remember that leaving the ignition key in the handle drains the battery, so remove it after use.
3. Inspection of Hoses and Wires
Inspect all connecting hoses, including fuel, cooling, and pump hoses. All clamps and clips should be securely fastened. If you notice any damage to the hoses, they must be replaced, as using the board otherwise becomes dangerous.
4. Checking Electrical Connections
All cables must be securely connected. Pay attention to the seal on the charging cable cap. Also, check the spark plug to ensure it is tightly screwed in, as vibrations during the ride can loosen its attachment.
5. Inspect the Engine System
Check the engine and internal parts of the board for any loose nuts, bolts, and other fasteners that might have come undone due to vibrations.
6. Throttle Handle Inspection
Ensure the throttle trigger moves freely and smoothly regulates the speed.
7. Clean the Turbine of Debris
Before starting the engine, inspect the turbine for any foreign objects like grass or debris. These items can damage the system and reduce the board's performance.
8. Start the Board on Shore
Before entering the water, start the engine on the shore for no more than 10 seconds. This will help ensure that all systems are functioning correctly.
9. Using WD-40 for Protection
Regular use of WD-40 before and after riding will protect your board from corrosion. Apply it to the engine compartment, paying attention to the bearings, starter, and other key engine components.
10. Ignition Activation
To activate the ignition, insert the starter key into the handle for 3-5 seconds, then remove it. If the power unit flashes a red light, the system is ready to start. After 5 minutes, if you do not reinsert the key, the system will enter standby mode.
11. Engine Start
Insert the key into the handle to automatically start the engine. Do not leave it running for more than 10-15 seconds without water to avoid overheating.
12. Final Check Before Riding
Start the engine for 10 seconds to warm it up and ensure that the carburetor is properly adjusted and the board operates steadily. After this, securely close the board's cover, ensuring all four locks are firmly snapped shut.
Now, you are ready to enjoy your ride on the JETSURF, knowing that your board is prepared and protected against potential breakdowns. Regular inspection of all systems will ensure safety and enhance the enjoyment of your ride.
