The Hydroflyer Cruiser FF is what happens when the calmest hull in the range is given the angriest drivetrain. Nothing about the platform changes: 226 by 86 cm, 160 litres, the V-nose that takes oncoming chop without slamming, full carbon over a 78 cm carbon keel. What changes is the motor, which nearly doubles to 10 kW.
That power arrives as acceleration rather than as a higher cruising speed you have to chase. The board leaves the water quickly and gets to its 60 km/h ceiling without a long run-up, which on a hull this long is an unusual combination — the stability of a beginner's platform with a response that will keep an experienced rider interested.
A high-power propeller replaces the high-speed unit fitted to the CF, and the second-generation operating system manages delivery through the smart low-profile throttle. The 2.4 kWh battery still holds around two and a half hours, though how you ride it will move that number more than on the slower models.
The 78 cm carbon keel gives the height needed to use the speed — room to ride out chop and to lean the mast into a turn — and asks for depth in return. This is the version to take if you want a Cruiser that never feels like it is running out of engine.
