The Hydroflyer Cruiser AL is the way into electric hydrofoiling for anyone who has looked at a conventional eFoil and decided that balancing on a bare board is not how they want to spend their first day on the water. A handlebar column rises from the deck; you hold it, and the board becomes something you steer rather than something you fight.

The hull is the long one in the range — 226 by 86 cm and 160 litres — with a V-nose that slices into oncoming chop instead of slapping across it. That volume matters most before the foil takes over: it carries you while the motor builds speed, so the transition onto the wing arrives without drama.

AL is the fibreglass version. The hull is glass rather than carbon and the keel is a 60 cm aluminium mast, which is shorter than the carbon models carry. In practice that means less height to manage while you are learning, and a machine you can put into shallower water without thinking too hard about clearance.

The 5.6 kW motor drives a submerged propeller behind a 1,225 cm² mid-aspect front wing, good for 40 km/h and around two hours of riding on the 2.4 kWh battery. The Gen.1 wireless throttle sits in your hand, and the full set weighs 42–49 kg depending on how it is configured.

Hydroflyer Cruiser AL highlights

Platform

A confident start

160 litres of volume across an 86 cm beam hold the rider up until the foil takes over, which makes the opening seconds of a run far calmer.

Shape

V-nose entry

The nose is shaped to enter oncoming chop smoothly rather than smack into it, so the hull meets the water with less of a jolt.

Control

Something to hold

The handlebar column gives you a second point of contact when starting, building speed and changing direction — the whole reason the Hydroflyer rides the way it does.

Keel

60 cm aluminium

A shorter mast than the carbon models carry. Easier to manage during first sessions, and less clearance to worry about, at the cost of height above the water.

Drive

5.6 kW of thrust

The motor supplies the push and the front wing turns that speed into lift, taking the hull clear of the surface.

Battery

Up to two hours

The 2.4 kWh pack is good for around two hours. What you actually get depends on rider weight, how much power you use and the state of the water.

Kit

Everything to assemble

Board, handlebar column, foil system, battery, fast charger and tools all ship together — nothing essential is sold separately.
