The Hydroflyer Sport CF is the short board built properly. The hull is 152 by 83 cm and 129 litres — a third shorter than the Cruiser — and it is carbon from end to end, mast included. Less length means less inertia to overcome every time you ask the board to go somewhere else, and carbon means that request arrives without being softened by flex on the way.
That combination is what the Sport platform is for. Quick transitions, tight carving, a board that stays with you rather than settling into its own line. It still floats you comfortably before the foil takes over; there is simply less of it to move once you are flying.
The 78 cm carbon keel replaces the aluminium 60 cm mast of the AL version and buys real height above the water — room to ride through chop, and enough range to lean the mast hard into a turn without the hull catching. In exchange it wants depth, so shallow launch spots need a look first.
Driving it is the 5.6 kW motor with the high-speed propeller and the second-generation operating system: 50 km/h and about two and a half hours from the 2.4 kWh battery. The smart low-profile throttle sits flatter in the hand than the Gen.1 unit on the AL.
